<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article considers a spectral method for evaluating the effective properties of composites and rock samples based on the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Having limitations on the applied boundary conditions, the method offers high efficiency of stress and strain analysis in a periodic cell due to the asymptotics of FFT in time 𝑂(𝑛 · 𝑙𝑜𝑔(𝑛)). The comparison of the results of homogenization with the Finite Element Method shows the high accuracy of the spectral method in estimating the properties of the rocks. An analysis of the efficiency and convergence of the algorithm for various periodic cells and materials is presented.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>эффективные свойства</kwd><kwd>спектральные методы</kwd><kwd>компьютерная томография</kwd><kwd>быстрое преобразование Фурье</kwd><kwd>анализ напряжений и деформаций</kwd><kwd>метод конечных элементов.</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>effective properties</kwd><kwd>spectral methods</kwd><kwd>Computed tomography</kwd><kwd>Fast Fourier Transform</kwd><kwd>stress-strain analysis</kwd><kwd>finite element method.</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Moulinec H., Suquet P.
