Л. Н. Толстого). Штат института составляли приглашенные иногородние пре-подаватели. Это обстоятельство определяло весь учебный процесс, так как дисциплины вычитывались сжатыми блоками и в короткие сроки. Одним из трех факультетов былфизико-математический с единственной кафедрой математики и физики. Осенью 1939 года на факультет удалось пригласить молодых ученых-математиков, специалистов в области математического анализа и дифференциальных уравнений. Ими были супруги П. В. Соловьев и В. М. Гущина. Оба они – уроженцы Тульской области, получили образование и защитили кандидатские диссертации в Москве. П. В. Соловьев имел хорошие научные результаты и как ученый мог бы создать школу математического анализа на факультете, но в 1941 году началась война, и он добровольцем ушел на фронт, где погиб в 1943 году. В1950 году из кафедры математики и физики были выделены две математические кафедры, одна из которых – кафедра математического анализа. Первым заведующим кафедройматематического анализа стал профессор С. П. Слугинов, бывавший в Туле наездами из Москвы, а штат кафедры состоял из 8 человек. В июне 1951 года кафедру возглавил известный ученый в области теории функций, доктор физико-математических наук, профессор В. И. Левин. С его именем связано становление аспирантуры на кафедре и факультете.Первой выпускницей аспирантуры кафедры, успешно защитившей диссертацию на соискание ученой степени кандидата физико-математических наук, стала С. Н. Лёвина, ученица профессора В. И. Левина. Учениками профессора В. И. Левина были многие выпускники ТГПУ им. Л. Н. Толстого , впоследствии работавшие на кафедре. В 1960-х годах укре-пилась научная и педагогическая составляющая кафедры математического анализа: на кафедру из других вузов были приняты доценты В. И. Антропова (1964), В. И. Рыбаков(1969) и А. С. Симонов (1971). В разные годы среди преподавателей кафедры были первоклассные специалисты, оставившие заметный след в математике, но наибольших успехов кафедра добилась в 1970–80-е годы. Это было связано с обеспеченностью высококвалифицированными кадрами. В статье через историю кафедры, а также через деятельность ее заведующих и преподавателей прослеживаются пути развития математического анализана факультете.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the fall of 1938, the Tula State Pedagogical Institute (later renamed the L. N. Tolstoy Tula State Pedagogical University) was organized. The staff of the institute consisted of invitedteachers from other cities. This circumstance determined the entire educational process, since the disciplines were read in compressed blocks and in a short time. One of the three facultieswas physics and mathematics with the only department of mathematics and physics. In the fall of 1939, the faculty managed to invite young scientists-mathematicians, specialists in thefield of mathematical analysis and differential equations. They were the spouses P. V. Soloviev and V. M. Gushchina. Both of them - natives of the Tula region, received their educationand defended their PhD theses in Moscow. P. V. Soloviev had good scientific results and as a scientist could have created a school of mathematical analysis at the faculty, but in 1941the war broke out, and he volunteered for the front, where he died in 1943. In 1950, two mathematical departments were separated from the Department of Mathematics and Physics,one of which was the Department of Mathematical Analysis. The first head of the Department of Mathematical Analysis was Professor S. P. Sluginov, who was in Tula on visits from Moscow,and the staff of the department consisted of 8 people. In June 1951, the department was headed by a well-known scientist in the field of the theory of functions, Doctor of Physicaland Mathematical Sciences, Professor V. I. Levin. The formation of postgraduate studies at the department and faculty is associated with his name. The first graduate of the department’spostgraduate studies, who successfully defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, was S. N. Levina, a student of Professor V. I. Levin. The studentsof Professor V. I. Levin were many graduates of TSPU named after L. N. Tolstoy, who later worked at the department. In the 1960s, the scientific and pedagogical component of the Department of Mathematical Analysis was strengthened: associate professors V. I. Antropova (1964), V. I. Rybakov (1969) and A. S. Simonov (1971). Over the years, among the teachers of the department there were first-class specialists who left a noticeable mark in mathematics, but the department achieved the greatest success in the 1970s-80s. This was due to the provision of highly qualified personnel. The article traces the development of mathematical analysis at the faculty through the history of the department, as well as through the activities of its heads and teachers.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ТГПУ им.
